Biography

Alina Behning was born in Hamburg/ Germany and gained her first musical experience as a member of the children's choir of the Hamburg State Opera. She holds a Bachelor degree from HfMT Hamburg and a Master's degree in opera singing from Hmt Rostock, where she studied with Fionnuala McCarthy. Solo engagements have taken her to the Mecklenburg State Theater in Schwerin, Volkstheater Rostock, to the Opera Stabile / Hamburg State Opera, as well as to the great hall of the Laeiszhalle Hamburg. As a soloist she has already performed with orchestras such as the Bad Reichenhall Philharmonic, the Mecklenburgische Staatskapelle Schwerin, the Hamburg Baroque Orchestra, the Norddeutsche Philharmonie Rostock and the Hamburger Camerata. She is now working as a freelance artist in the fields of concert and opera. Since 2014 she performed in many concerts for sacred music as a soloist, especially with the music of JS Bach. Alina has gained opera experience as Goffredo in Rinaldo at the hmt Rostock, as well as Bradamante in Alcina at the Opera Stabile of the Hamburg State Opera and in various productions of the HfMT Hamburg under the direction of Florian M. Leibrecht with the Hamburg Symphony Orchestra . In 2020 she performed the 3rd Lady in the production of "Die kleine Zauberflöte" at the Kammeroper / Allee Theater Hamburg and in 2021 made her debut of Maddalena in G. Verdis Rigoletto at Teatro Savoia Campobasso with Operastudio Molise. In 2023 she will make her first Wagner debut in a Parsifal production under the direction of Jasmin Solfaghari in Switzerland. She received scholarships from Franz and Christel Kuhlmann Stiftung, LMN Hamburg eV and Oper a Life and was a Finalist in the International Maritim Competition 2019. Master classes and private studies with KS Brigitte Fassbaender, Roberto Servile, Bernarda Fink, Doreen Defeis, Jasmin Solfaghari and Britta Schwarz, among others, gave her important impulses. Currently she is working with Nicola Ziccardi.
